Functional Testing
Getting to the route of your health issues
As a trained nutritional therapist, I have access to a wide range of private laboratory tests that can provide a deep and valuable insight into what is going on within your body.
Functional testing focuses on how your various biological systems and biochemical pathways are working – or functioning - and can be highly useful and relevant in order to investigate your symptoms further. If l feel it would be beneficial for you to have one of these then I will discuss it with you first so you understand the benefits and cost. If you decide to have one, then they are paid for in addition to the consultation fee.

Basic NHS testing
There are also some basic tests available on the NHS such as a full blood count (provides details on red and white blood cells), Hb1ac (measures average blood sugar levels) or iron deficiency. These are tests that your GP can arrange so I might suggest that you contact your surgery directly to get this done if I think it would be useful.
Functional tests can generally be done in the comfort of your own home and sent back to the testing companies directly through the post. I can order a recommended test for you, guide you on the process and once I receive your results, interpret them, and adapt your nutrition and lifestyle plan accordingly.
